What is Paint Correction?

Remove imperfections from the vehicles paintwork and glass. These imperfections/defects include:

• Above (on) : clear coat, including front and rear bumpers and glass.
• Below (embedded within) : Underneath clear coat and up to pigment colour/coat.

Example :Oxidation, dirt, grime, iron particles, road tar, tree sap, fresh bird droppings, major scratches, etching, prolonged bird droppings, swirl marks, marring (DA & towel marring), holograms, waterspots, glue from sticker (removal), outline of stickers, overspray and more.
There are times when some defects can not be fixed by paint correction process and needs to be sanded and re-spray. Example: deep scratches (by keys or sharp object), prolonged etchings, clear coat failure etc.

Our Paint Correction Process

Inspection and Assessment

• Thoroughly examine vehicle’s paint condition from different angles and using specialized lighting. If needed, do a spray and wipe.
• Identify defects/imperfections like scratches, swirl marks, etching, oxidation, scratches etc.
• Look for pre-condition ie dents, chips, surface/below rust etc.
• Determine, if paint correction will achieve the desired results or a re-spray is required.
• Test spot – when necessary to determine paint type (soft/hard) than combination process (tool, product, pad, speed, pressure etc)
• Including exterior glass.

Washing and Decontamination

• Use chemicals to remove iron, dirt, grime, and contaminants.
• Clay bar treatment to eliminate embedded particles for a SMOOTH surface.
• Including exterior glass.

Machine Cut and Polish – once paint condition and combination have been determined via test spot :

• Use of DA and CUTTING compound with a wool/microfibre/foam pads at specific machine speeds with certain pressure – remove imperfections.
• Method of polish with DA, polish liquid and foam pads, bring back the shine, reflections and slickness.
• Including exterior glass.

Finishing Touches

• Protect the exterior of the vehicle with products such as : paste/liquid wax, sealants, Hybrid liquid wax, Ceramic coating, Graphene coating and Borophene coating. This includes glass coating and black plastic trims as well.
• Including exterior glass with glass coatings.
